MEANING:
Helm of Awe, is a magical Norse Viking symbol of protection and victory. It appears in several of the sagas being used by both warriors and even dragons! It also appears in the Galdrabók, an Icelandic grimoire (book of magic), written well after the Viking Age but from an unbroken intellectual lineage to those times. The term “helm” means protective covering and is where we get the term “helmet.” But while some sources describe the Aegishjalmur as a magical object, most sources describe it more as an invisible spell that creates a sphere of protection on the user while casting fear and defeat on an enemy.
The eight arms or rays emit from the center point of the symbol, which according to the sagas would be the space between the eyes (similar to the Hindu “Third Eye” perhaps). The arms themselves appear to be constructed from two intersecting runes. These are Algiz runes for victory and protection intersected by Isa runes, which may mean hardening (literally, ice). So, the hidden meaning of this symbol may be the ability to overcome through superior hardening of the mind and soul.

PRODUCTION METHODS

Every piece of jewelry is handmade using the oldest technique of casting. The ready pendants, necklaces, rings and charms are thoroughly polished and oxidized for deeper contrast or rhodium-plated for perfect shine.

JEWELRY CARE

All our jewelry is made from 925 Sterling Silver. It is optimal to remove jewelry during the following times:

  • Household chores, such as dishes, laundry, and when using cleaning supplies
  • When exercising, at the gym, or playing contact sports
  • When showering or bathing
  • Swimming, hot tubs, or saunas
  • Very hot places (such as when lying out at the beach or pool)
  • When getting ready (i.e.: putting on lotion, makeup, hair products)
  • Preparing, cooking, or eating foods that contain sulfur (this includes eggs and mayonnaise).
  • Outside chores or tasks, such as gardening

Storage:

  • Store your jewelry separately in the airtight ziplock bag and soft pouch to avoid scratching.
  • Silver loves a dark and dry environment, away from sunlight.
  • Finally, the more you wear your silver jewelry, the less care it will need!

We ship jewelry from the USA worldwide by USPS, tracking number provided.

Standard shipping estimates are:

* For the USA delivery is around 2-5 days.

* Europe delivery is usually 10-14 days.

* For Canada delivery is around 2-3 weeks.

* For Australia and Asia it may take 3-4 weeks.

These are estimated delivery times, they might increase as we get close to the holidays.

SHIPPING UPGRADE:

USPS Priority Mail delivery takes 2-3 working days. Upgrade shipping profile in your basket.
