An original woodcut print by listed South African native artist Shulamith Wittenberg Miller. Hand signed and titled in the bottom margin "S. Wittenberg Miller". Framed and matted under glass, overall dimensions approximately 14.25'' x 11''. Size of image is approximately 6.5'' x 8.75''. Some yellowing to image. Great deep color and detail! Not inspected out of frame. Please review all images. 

Born 1908 in Jerusalem, attended Bezalel Art School, Jerusalem, under Prof. Boris Schatz; advanced studies in Paris at the Académie Montparnasse under the cubist painter André Lhote. In 1933, married Rabbi Meyer Miller and moved to the U.S.A. that year, residing in Greenwich CT until 1950. In 1950 Shulamith Wittenberg-Miller moved to Durban as her husband had been appointed the spiritual leader of the Durban Reform Congregation which he was to build up in a 20 year ministry. She continued to paint and exhibit in South Africa and abroad. Her husband retired at the end of 1969 and moved with his wife Shulamith to the Garden City Jewish Centre, Garden City, N.Y., U.S.A. in 1970. During the 1980s she lived in West Hempstead, N.Y.
