The SKULL with WINGED PILOT GEAR logo is a copyrighted emblem for the Harley Davidson company during the 1970's.

                                              This is a golden or brass-like metal badge antiqued with black created in the middle 1970's

     It is well suited for your collectors vault or for display on your biker vest for all the world to see.  Measurements are 1 1/8" x 1". 

                           

The back has 2 pin posts which comes along with 2 bell-shaped brass fastener (as pictured above) to hold it securely in place. The dime is shown to give visual perception of the badge's size.

    During the early 70's upon temporarily acquiring the Harley-Davidson Company,  AMF connected with The Great American Buckle Company to design and manufacture a series of unique items to aid in the promotion of their acquisition. 

 

   This is one of them designed and made by that company.

This is uniquely designed as a Harley Davidson Company copyrighted emblem.

I have a light metal copy of this emblem with Harley on it for sale which was made also at this time.  

 This is one of the few left.  I value them!   Long since then the buckle company has retired  and the Harley-Davidson Company in 1981 was re-acquired by Mr Arthur Davidson and group of associates.
