This is a first edition in good condition.  It was published by The Folio Society in 1982.  This book was translated and presented by Joanna Richardson.


'The Siege of Paris, lasting from 19 September 1870 to 28 January 1871, and the consequent capture of the city by Prussian forces, led to French defeat in the Franco-Prussian War and the establishment of the German Empire as well as the Paris Commune.'

 

This is a 1st Edition / 1st Printing.

 

Condition:

Book - Very Good - minor rubbing/bumping/wear to the corners and edges, a slight lean, crease and fading/discolouration to the spine, opens v.easily to a few pages, v.slight marking to the page edges and a page and slight, but even, tanning to the pages.

Slip Case - Good - rubbing/bumping/wear to the corners, edges and covers, fading and some marking and discolouration.
