~2849 Natural History Images on Disc~

Collected together in a unique double DVD Rom set we are pleased to present a rare selection of 2849 high resolution vintage zoology prints. Selected from texts ranging in date from 1551 to 1896, a broad range of illustration styles and subject matter is represented here. Notable inclusions are a selection of both coloured and monochrome illustrations by Swiss naturalist Conrad Gessner from his groundbreaking 1551 publication Historiæ Animalivm and a fantastic set of 1,395 illustrations from Richard Lydekker's huge 6 volume Royal Natural History published between 1893 and 1896. Subject matter comes from all parts of the natural world and includes; mammals, amphibians, fish, birds, reptiles and insects. Images are in JPEG format and are at a resolution of 300dpi. Image sizes vary but are generally large sized (rough pixel size indications are given below)

These discs are data DVDs containing images. You will receive 2 x standard data DVD-Rom discs containing 2,849 animal / zoology images in JPEG format as stated above.
These discs are data DVDs for computer use only (requires DVD-Rom drive). They WILL NOT WORK in a CD-Rom drive, an audio CD player or the DVD player connected to your TV.

These discs have an auto-run menu feature which may be incompatible with Mac computers. I cannot guarantee that the menu feature will function on any Mac computer or that a disc including this feature will function in any way on any Mac computer. If you would like discs without the menu feature I can provide this (menu is for cosmetic purposes only - content will be identical), please leave a note with your purchase.
