Description
The activated carbon filters on offer have a pre-filter flow and work effectively up to a humidity of 70% and a maximum temperature of 70°C.
Activated carbon filters are used in catering, industry or DIY to primarily clean air or water from organic pollutants such as gasoline, solvents or pesticides. To do this, air or water is passed through the filter from the outside to the inside, over the activated carbon. The pollutants stick to the activated carbon and are thus absorbed. Clean air comes out of the activated carbon filter. clean water out.
Activated carbon consists of approx. 90% made of highly porous carbon. Due to the structure of the filter, which is like a sponge, the activated carbon has an extremely large surface area.
The absorption capacity essentially depends on the pollutant concentration, the effectiveness of air humidity and operating temperature. Please pay attention to the performance of the fan when making your selection.
Activated carbon has the ability to bind any form of odor particles.
The activated carbon filter is connected to an exhaust fan with a suitable flexible pipe. Now the air that is sucked in by the exhaust fan flows through the activated carbon and is cleaned of all odors. However, you should keep in mind that the performance of the exhaust fan decreases the smaller the activated carbon filter is chosen. In addition, the filter loses its effectiveness over time because the activated carbon gradually becomes saturated. If the effectiveness decreases significantly, you should change the activated carbon. In order to be able to use the filter for as long as possible, it is recommended to change the dust pre-filter (white) regularly.
