Up for sale is a very rare antique handmade Folk Art wooden model ship depicting the SS Orontes.
It's a large scale set in a gorgeous display case that features handmade waves and a painted backing including a lighthouse.
The ship is sculpted by hand out of a wooden base and embellished with many different other materials throughout. It has a gorgeous paint job with yellow stacks and flags mounted to the staffs.
It is one of the most detailed model ships we have come across and done with a high level of craftsmanship.
The display measures 31 inches long by 15 inches tall by 7 inches back to front.
It is in nice antique condition, there is some corrosion to the metal on the boat as seen in photos.
some cracks and chips to the waves, and normal ware throughout.
The display has some ware to the backside as seen in last photo.
