The Combined Arms Military School (EMIA) is one of the French Army schools responsible for training officers from internal recruitment (former reserve officers, non-commissioned officers or non-commissioned members). The EMIA is the equivalent of the EMA ( Military School of the Air ) for the Air Force or the EMF ( Military School of the Fleet ) for the French Navy . Its motto is “work for the law, honor as a guide”.

EMIA is located in Coëtquidan ( Morbihan ) in the town of Guer . His students attend the same school [not clear] as their comrades from the Special Military School of Saint-Cyr , from an external competition, from the Military Administration School (EAM, dissolved in 2013, following the creation of the school of armed Commissioners ) and those of the 4 th  battalion of the special military school of Saint Cyr . It reports to the Coëtquidan Schools Command and the Army Human Resources Department (DRHAT).

The EMIA is the heir of the different schools of arms of the xix th  century, which formed the officers from military units. The most important of these weapons schools, the infantry school of Saint-Maixent , was merged with Saint-Cyr in 1942 in the school of student-aspirants of Cherchell , created after the German occupation of the southern zone. . In 1944 the Military School of Cherchell took the name of "Combined Arms Military School". She settled in Coëtquidan, the buildings of the old school of Saint-Cyr, in Saint-Cyr-l'École having been destroyed in bombardments. The new school,1947 the name of “Special Military Combined School” formed both, according to the idea of amalgamation of its founder General de Lattre de Tassigny , officers from the external competition and officers from internal recruitment.

Do please check out my other items, and also add me to your Saved Sellers List!

I will happily combine shipping - European buyers please note that there's some new tax due to Brexit, and eBay has warned us that unless we use their postage system our buyers may get charged twice, but I am NOT using their postage system!

Payment

Postage If you bid on items, you're accepting the quoted postal costs, which cover  envelopes, packing materials, stamps, and trips to the Post Office

I always get a Proof of Posting certificate, and if an item does get lost in the post I will forward it to you for you to make a claim, since as the Buyer you can claim the full amount of your loss

However, in over 20,000 parcels I've mailed out over the last fifteen years only about a dozen have gone astray, and most of these were overseas

If you're at all worried about losing something, do ask for Recorded Delivery - £1.30 extra in the UK and £7 for overseas

Shipping

Non-UK buyers I will mail you as soon as possible with both Airmail and Surface postal charges (or just Airmail if it's a very light item)

Airmail takes between three and five days. The Post Office warns that Surface mail to the USA, Australia, etc, can take as long as 12 weeks, but it is, obviously, a lot cheaper

In practice, American buyers tell me that Surface mail usually takes between 14 and 21 days (and apparently it actually travels by air, filling any space after the official Airmail items are loaded)
