A vintage pair of Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company, or "JB", Bookends, circa 1930s?, depicting a Southern Belle with fan and hat posing on a settee or couch.  The finish seems more gold than bronze.  They measure approximately 4" wide by 4" tall by 3" deep, and together weigh 2 pounds, 10 ounces.  The bottoms are felt covered.  They have a hollow, tinny sound, although each weighs well over a pound.  Both are marked on the back with raised lettering: " J B 1 5 9 5 ".  No noticeable scratches, dings or dents.  I have not tried to clean these more than to use a clean, dry cloth to remove surface dust and dirt.  I suspect they can be brightened up considerably, but I am not an expert on the best way to do this.  Please view the photographs to get an accurate understanding of the condition of this charming pair.
