It is way smaller than the mini propane jet currently sold to hikers, which uses disposable gas bottles. Each of the disposable gas bottles are over $12.00 at camping stores and only last about 20 minutes turned up at full blast, however, a $3.95 bottle of methylated spirits will run this for a week and can be bought at any petrol station or grocery store.

Please note, it needs 60 to 80 seconds to warm up, to produce the "fingers" of blue flames. When fully filled, (80ml appro.) it will burn for appro. 15 minutes and needs only 30 seconds to cool down, before refilling again. You can pour unused metho back in the bottle, or screw the threaded cap back on and store it.
