This set of matryoshka dolls is very beautiful! There are 5 dolls in the set. The tallest doll is approximately 6" tall. Each doll is intricately painted. The largest doll is signed with "Sergiyev Posad" which indicates the location where the set was made. (see photos) This set is in excellent condition. There is a minor line in the paint on the back of the largest doll - it's difficult to tell if it's under the gloss coat or over - however, the paint is not chipped and the wood is sound.
