Jaws are 7" wide.
I think I got this vise from my father. He was frequenting school auctions for a while.
I've had it for 10+ years.
It needs a handle. You can go with a length of 3/4" pipe with two caps or you can use a length of 1" hardwood dowel and cross drill the dowel and secure in place with short pins of wood. Or just buy a ready made handle. In either case, a handle is very simple to add.
It was dirty so I took it apart and cleaned it and then shot a light coat of Rustoleum Machine Gray Enamel on it to prevent rust.
The rolling nut is in very good shape. No wear is visible on the brass/bronze teeth.
I lubed and reassembled it.
The dog moves up and down as it should. There must be a spring behind it since it stays up when pushed up.
Its ready to work!
