This is a wonderful Leather and textile Handbag / Shoulder bag that i just picked up on my recent trip to Chiapas.  The Two Shades of Gold and Blue Color fabric used on this bag was made by Tzotzil Mayan women of San Andres Larrainzar in the highlands of Chiapas Mexico.  This fabric was woven on a back strap loom with geometric details symbolizing the heavens and universe.  The remainder of this shoulder bag is made of leather.  It is not lined and has a magnetic clasp on the top flap and a zipper closure under the flap The craftspeople of Chiapas are known for their leather work... this is a great bag and very versatile.

It measures;  10 1/4 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches tall 2 inches deep with the strap that adjusts from 43 inches to 50 inches in length.

This is a wonderful example of Mexican Folk art, and is a very reasonable price for the amount of work that has gone into creating it!
