DESCRIPTION:

The locking washers are mounted between the steering gear and the tie rod. The maximum steering stop is reduced due to the thicker thickness of the plates. This is necessary with some wheel-tire combinations, otherwise the tires will rub against the inside of the fender when the steering wheel is fully turned.

This measure is also listed in the report as a requirement for some rim manufacturers. (Edition L02)
