What is an O2 Sensor FOR
Motorcycle oxygen sensors are a crucial element to the fuel system of a fuel injected bike. The O2 sensors work in conjunction with the ECU to deliver the correct amount of fuel to run the bike at its full potential. Oxygen sensors on motorcycles measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and sends that information to the ECU so that it can determine the correct air-fuel ratio according to predetermined mappings. When a sensor becomes faulty, it can throw off the ECU and the wrong air-fuel mixtures will be sent. This will cause your bike to run roughly and could potentially be harmful.
We recommend you to replace the sensor from the manufacturer of your bike if your current sensor is defective, but we understand this is not always possible or practical
