I just received in a new shipment from the Mayan Weavers of Chiapas.  This is a wonderful long sleeve Huipil Jacket, perfect for Fall and Winter weather.  It is in a Peach base fabric with the brocade work in Cream.   This jacket was all hand woven on a back strap loom by Tzotzil Mayan women of San Andrés Larrainzar.    There are five separate ties for closures going down the front.  It is a great example of Frida Kahlo, Hippie, Boho, Peasant, Cowgirl, Santa Fed Style!

This is a Win Win scenario. You get to own a beautiful hand woven Huipil, and support these Mayan women save their cultural heritage and traditions.

This medium weight cotton measures 24 inches across the shoulders and 24 inches across the chest for a total 48 inches around and 24 inches Long with an additional 16 inches in sleeve length.  This Jacket will fit a Medium to Large size woman.

And don't forget to take a look at my Ebay Store for more Huipils / Katans and other wonderful Handmade Clothing, Mexican Folk art and Jewelry. VIVA MEXICO!!
