For USB 5V power you just need the VBUS and GND pins, other pins are not required.

These boards are suitable for data connection (D+ & D-), the CC1 and CC2 pins have a 5.1K resistor connected to ground, these pins indicate to the upstream port to provide 5V and up to 3A (what the upstream can supply depends on what you're connecting to). They mimic a USB 2.0 downstream peripheral.

CC1/2 and SBU1/2 pins for monitoring cable polarity and sending sideband data (can be left disconnected).
