19th C. Antique Hand Crank Wooden Barrel Butter Churn By Richmond Cedar Works

Approx. Dimensions 15" diameter, 16" tall, 13" wide (not including crank handle)

For your consideration, I have this great looking 19th Century American antique cedar hand crank butter churn signed with an embossed R.C.W. anchor mark made by Richmond Cedar Works in VirginiaIt is a great display piece but it will need some attention if you intend to use it for more than display purposes. It would look right at home sitting in a cracker barrel restaurant. It has nice patina and it looks great however it shows some minor imperfections if you inspect it closely. It doesn't have a lid and the paddle inside has been previously repaired and it could stand to be rebuilt if you were actually going to use this to churn butter. This churn comes with two cast iron and wood hand crank handles, the original is a little wobbly and the extra one doesn't fit correctly on the inside. I imagine it originally had a cork plug for the hole on the backside.
