Authentic Cliff May wallboard art. Genuine interior board taken from a mid-century modern ranch home built in what was called the "Alta Loma" neighborhood of Vista, California, circa 1955, by the famous father-of-the-California-ranch-home, builder and honorary architect, Cliff May. Has the original ink stamp by May and partner Chris Choate and Los Angeles Builder's Union seal (see photos). Mounted for a mid-century look that would be perfect in your MCM home (or any home!), above your fireplace, in an office, kitchen or under a covered area of your patio or porch. We have only two, one mounted with brushed matte nickel brackets and one with black, for easy hanging. Note that these are rustic pieces of wood that were removed during a regentrification/renovation and as such, have screw holes, marks and imperfections, as seen in the photos, making them even more real! The one with black brackets even has handwritten numbers on it, presumably Cliff May or Chris Choate as they were personally on the jobsites daily, involved in the careful building of each quality home. One of a kind original pieces for your MCM home and a tribute to the great Cliff May, these pieces cannot be duplicated or imitated without ripping into the walls of a Cliff May home; you will have the real deal!!! (note fireplace is for display purposes only, not for sale)
