After acquiring a Leitz Minolta CLE I designed a very comfortable handgrip for it. My friend, Don Goldberg of DAG Camera Repair said he would like to see one for the Leica M series. After close to twenty different prototypes, I settled on the current design. The grip is not just a “stick” on a plate, but is designed specifically for the M bodies, even those with self-timers.

The mounting screw is a ¼-20 thread. Because some Leica M bodies have a 3/8-16 thread on the bottom, I will include a custom machined 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 adapter IF YOU ASK ME FOR IT WHEN YOU ORDER THE GRIP. Because all of the thread adapters I have seen and purchased are too long and protrude from the bottom of the camera, I had custom adapters made to fit the Leica.
