Vintage 1980s Ladies Leather Suit - Genuine Challenger Club.

This genuine leather Challenger brand suit is in such good condition it could almost be described as new.

I have re-examined every inch of the suit and can confirm that there is not one single mark or flaw, and the linings in both the skirt and especially the jacket (in particular, the inner sleeves) are in mint condition.

Originally purchased from a London Challenger store some 36 years ago for an evening function, and only worn 2 or 3 times after, it has been stored in a dry, dark, pet free, smoke free and dust free environment.

Both the jacket and skirt are labeled size 12, although it looks more to be a size 10

Detailed Description

The Jacket

This is of a bat wing design with wrap over fastening by way of a single press stud and fixed buckled belt.

The press studs, buckle and eyelets are in pristine condition with no signs of any wear and or damage.

There are two fairly deep pockets built into the front panels.

The shoulders have delicate padding

The Skirt

This is of a flared design with fastening to the rear by way of a hidden zip, double press stud and fixed short buckled belt.

The press studs, buckle and eyelets are in pristine condition with no signs of any wear and or damage.

There are two pleats to the front and 2 pleats to the rear.

There are two fairly deep hip pockets to the front.

NOTE: this is a high waisted skirt, not designed to sit on the hips.

Measurements

The Jacket

Sleaves - from edge of collar to end of arm approximately 28 inches (71 cm).

Length - down the back from collar to hem is 19 inches (48 cm)

The Skirt

~~~~~~~

Waist - has a diameter of around 13 inches (33 cm)

Length - from top of waist band to hem is 36 inches (91 cm)

Waist band - width is 3.5 inches (9 cm)

Pockets - approximately 6 inch (15 cm) scalloped opening with 8 inch (20 cm) depth

Zip - hidden and is 8 inches (20 cm)
