This is another beautiful 100% Cotton yarn from Fil Katia. It comes in oversized balls of pastel self-striping/jacquard style coloring. It is perfect for all types of summer garments, as well as baby garments. It is also a good option for thinner style wash cloths and towels that will feel ultra-soft against your skin, and it will wick moisture beautifully.
This yarn can be machine washed, but it should be laid out flat to dry.
If you are familiar with Cascade Ultra Pima Fine yarn, the hand of this yarn is very similar. I found that the Ultra Pime lines were not as hard on my hands to knit with as some other tightly plied 100% cotton yarns. This yarn is as soft to work with, if not softer. I did not suffer hand fatigue like I do with many other plied cotton yarns. 2 balls will be sufficient for most projects.
Each super-sized ball is 200 grams and 524 yards. Because it is 100% cotton in a traditionally plied yarn, it may tend to grow as you wear your garment in the typical fashion of 100% cotton yarns. Smaller garments like baby garments work better, as well as shawls and scarves that do not have a specific fit.
