From Jane Woolrich: a very stylish Camisole and Pontaloon set. The camisole top is in 100% Polyester black satin with ecru embroidered flowers and fan edging, over ecru net. The top has a V shape at the front and a square line at the back, opening at the front with four black satin covered buttons through black satin loops. The pontaloons are in 100% black silk chiffon and are trimmed with black embroidered flowers over black net around the bottom, with a narrower band of black embroidered net covering the gathered section where narrow black satin ribbons can gather the bottom of the pontaloons in place, either below the knee, or at the calf, and then they tie with the ribbon, leaving long tails. The waistband is narrow with a band of black elastic inside with a shiny black ribbed and looped trim which shows over the top of the black silk chiffon which is folded in.
The camisole top has black satin spaghetti straps which are long, so if too long you just take a loop inside the back and shorten them with a stitch, easier to shorten than to lengthen. Should you be very tall, there is already one loop in the black satin so this may be lengthened too. There are two black panels rising upwards to cover the bust, these are gathered at the bottom and they reach around to the side seams, the top edges are cut into waves and the beige embroidered net has large waves on the inside, applique'd over the satin, and soft waves at the top edges, this embroidered net is folded diagonally over itself as it continues down to edge the front opening. Below the bust line there are two black satin panels with ecru embroidered net edging them, vertically and around the bottom.
The back of the camisole has a straight top at the back, all edged with a continuation of the wide embroidered floral net with its wavy top and bottom. There is one main central black satin panel framed with two others to the side seams. The ecru embroidered narrow net edges the main central panel vertically and all around the bottom with its small wave pattern, this is a continuation of the net around the bottom of the front. The only breaks in the net at the bottom are where the camisole opens at the front. Other breaks in the wider embroidered floral net are at the top of the bust area where the straps are sewn to the back of the embroidered net, and where it finishes at the bottom of the front opening. This ecru embroidery shows off the black satin covered buttons.
The black silk chiffon, sheer pontaloon bottoms can hang at the waist and the gusset is low so that they are loose. There are seams at each side and also one at the centre front and one at the centre back, meeting in a cross at the gusset. There is no lining to the gusset as it hangs low.
The fabric of the camisole top is composed of 100% Polyester and the fabric of the pontalons is 100% silk chiffon. Jane Woolrich recommends that this camisole and pontaloon set should be hand washed in cool water, use a cool iron if necessary. Keep away from Fire. Use no bleach. Made in England. New and unused.
