Introduction:

The powder fluidity tester is mainly used to test the flow rate and bulk density of metal powder and non-metal powder. The funnel material is divided into brass and stainless steel.

** This method is only suitable for powder that can freely flow through a standard funnel with a diameter of 2.5mm or 5.0mm.

Remarks: The funnel aperture is 2.5mm to test the flow rate of the powder. The funnel aperture is 5.0mm to test the bulk density of the powder (if the powder fluidity test is performed, the funnel aperture is 2.5mm.If the bulk density is measured, the funnel hole diameter is 5mm. )

Principle: The powder falls freely from the funnel hole at a certain height to fill the cup. In the loose packed state, the mass of the powder per unit volume represents the loose packed density of the powder.

Application:

-Various metal powders: such as aluminum powder, nickel powder, tungsten powder, tin powder, zinc powder, magnesium powder, graphite powder, copper powder and other rare metal powder, alloy powder or metal oxide powder etc.

-Various non-metallic powders: such as talc, kaolin, calcium carbonate, coal powder, phosphor, calcite, wollastonite, diamond, zeolite, clay, graphite, quartz, gypsum, bentonite, diatomaceous earth, zirconium silicate, corundum, mica, clay , titanium dioxide, etc.

-Other powders: such as soil, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, abrasives, coatings, food additives, catalysts, cement, river sediment, etc.

Device structure:

1. Funnel: The standard funnel hole diameter has two specifications, one is 2.5 mm in diameter; the other is 5.0 mm in diameter

2. Funnel angle: 60 degrees

3. Cylindrical cup: the volume is 25±0.05 cm3, and the inner diameter is 31±1mm.

4. The production of cups and funnels: cups and funnels should be made of non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant metal materials with sufficient wall thickness and hardness to prevent deformation and excessive wear. They are usually made of brass or stainless steel. The inner surface of the funnel and cup should be carefully polished.

5. Bracket and base: The bracket is used to fix the funnel. The base must be level, stable, and must not be vibrated for use in mounting brackets and cups. The distance between the bottom of the funnel hole and the upper part of the cup is 25mm, which can be adjusted by the positioning block. The funnel and the cup must be concentric.

6. Balance (provided by the user): It must have a sufficient measuring range, and the weighing sample can reach 0.01g.
