The s/s inner cable runs inside a plastic outer cable that is covered in a black plastic sheath. The pedal end of the cable is crimped but the throttle body end remains open so you can cut the cable down to size if necessary. 

The pedal end of the cable has a clevis that will fit many aftermarket gas pedals.
