Set manutenzione, pulizia e riparazione in cuoio e tela per mitragliatrici Hotchkiss modello 1914, completo di set per pulizie e ricambi, con mirino antiaereo e scovolo e con oliatore. L’interno in tela è mal ridotto e lo scovolo sarebbe da riparare. Dai marchi impressi nel cuoio e su alcuni attrezzi si può fare un’ipotesi della loro provenienza.

L'oliatore ha una scritta in arabo che vorrebbe poter significa "scuotere". Dal 1921 la Hotchkiss M1914 era in dotazione a truppe coloniali francesi che parlavano arabo (algerini, marocchini e tunisini). Altre Hotchkiss 1914 supplementari furono date ai reparti coloniali nel 1939. Ecco l'origine della scritta in arabo sull’oliatore.  Nel 1940 diversi battaglioni marocchini e tunisini cercarono di opporsi alle divisioni tedesche all’attacco, nella Francia ontinentale. Furono travolti e annientati, nonostante un'eroica resistenza. Le armi in dotazione ai battaglioni coloniali come tante armi francesi catturate, possono essere state  catturate dai tedeschi e riutilizzate dopo aver passato un controllo da parte de l’Heer, controllo caratterizzato dal marchio sul cuoio (aquila e svastica). Come preda bellica furono fornite dai Tedeschi anche all’Italia  fascista per postazioni fisse in bunker e per i reparti della MVSN fascista.

Maintenance, cleaning and repair set in leather and canvas for Hotchkiss model 1914 machine guns, complete with cleaning set and spare parts, with anti-aircraft sight and brush and with oiler. The canvas interior is badly reduced and the brush would need to be repaired. From the marks imprinted on the leather and on some tools, one can make a hypothesis of their origin.

The oiler has an inscription in Arabic that he would like to be able to mean "shake". From 1921 the Hotchkiss M1914 was supplied to French colonial troops who spoke Arabic (Algerians, Moroccans and Tunisians). Other additional Hotchkiss 1914 were given to the colonial wards in 1939. This is the origin of the Arabic inscription on the oiler. In 1940, several Moroccan and Tunisian battalions tried to oppose the attacking German divisions in mainland France. They were overwhelmed and annihilated, despite a heroic resistance. The weapons supplied to the colonial battalions, like many captured French weapons, may have been captured by the Germans and reused after passing a check by the Heer, a check characterized by the mark on the leather (eagle and swastika). As war prey they were also supplied by the Germans to fascist Italy for fixed positions in bunkers and for the units of the fascist MVSN.

L'intérieur de la toile est très réduit et le pinceau aurait besoin d'être réparé. A partir des marques imprimées sur le cuir et sur certains outils, on peut faire une hypothèse sur leur origine.

En tant que proies de guerre, ils ont également été fournis par les Allemands à l'Italie fasciste pour des positions fixes dans des bunkers et pour les unités du MVSN fasciste.
