Vintage - Heavy Steel Microscope Base - Polished 2-Tone Silver & Gold - Etch-marked - EXC Condition

Authentic, vintage microscope base. We believe this was a 1930s-1940s Spencer microscope that has been striped and refinished with grinding and polishing. A unique piece. Heavy steel with a polished silver and gold finish (as shown in our photos). Unusual microscope base from a collector's estate. No makers' marks but the bottom of the base is etch-marked "State of WN / 908854." Very heavy, substantial piece. Please also see our Condition Description and photographs. 

NOTE: This lot includes only the microscope base - lenses and an eyepiece are not included.

Measures 8 1/2" tall x 6" from front to back of base x 4 1/4" wide

Lot weight is 4 lbs. 5 oz., estimated package weight is 6-7 lbs. Will be thoroughly padded and carefully packed for secure, intact arrival.
