Rare 1943 German Judaica book titled (translated) The Jewish Question Among Greeks and Romans. By Theodor Hopfner. The book was published in Prague, Czechoslovakia, by the Publishing House of the German Academy of Sciences, 1943.


Book has 84 pages. Has a large fold-out map at end of book showing the spread of the Jews across the ancient world from the 6th century before to the 7th century after the time on the basis of the Greek-Latin evidence.


Since 1936 Theodor Hopfner was a member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts in Prague. After the destruction of the rest of Czech Republic by the German Reich, Hopfner was not removed from his office, but he had to endure professional reprisals. He was not accepted as a Reichsbeamter and expelled from the Academy of Sciences and Arts. After the Second World War he was deported together with other Prague residents of the German nation and died in an internment camp near Prague in 1946.
