Vintage wooden musical jewellery box.

Possibly circa 1960/70 the style is very reminiscent of the g plan style furniture of that time period.

Small size but full of charm. The area for the jewellery is quite shallow (2cm deep) but could house things like earrings, rings and chains.

Box Size 6.5 x 4 x 2.5 inches at its widest points.

Unfortunately nothing is known of the history of this piece.

Well made with a moving music device inside the cavity of the jewellery box. The music is made by gently winding with the key underneath. Opening the lid and as the barrel rolls and they pluck the metal teeth and make the notes.

We are having a lot of difficulty placing the name of the song but it is a classic music box style music.

The actual wooden jewellery box has no makers mark.

It has a lot of scuffs on the lid. Some scratches to the finish of the wood. Also possible a missing 'sticker' this could be the brand information
