Depression Era Coventry Ware Figurines

 

REALLY CUTE LITTLE VINTAGE OLD COVENTRY WARE CHALKWARE PAIR. THESE CHILDREN ARE ADORABLE IN THEIR OLD TIME OUTFITS AND THE LITTLE FACE DETAILS ARE SO CUTE...THEY HAVE SOME AGE TO THEM, AND SHOW A FEW LITTLE SCUFFS, BUT STILL HAVE TONS OF CHARACTER AND DISPLAY CUTE AS CAN BE.....THEY ARE A CREAMY OFF WHITE IVORY COLOR AND WILL BE VERY SWEET WITH SOME LITTLE CHILDREN'S BOOKS DISPLAYED WITH THEM.... STILL HAVE THEIR MAKERS TAG...SAYS COVENTRY WARE 3153 .......THIS ADORABLE PAIR MEASURES APPROX 4.5 INCHES TALL AND 2.5 INCHES WIDE, ...GREAT LITTLE RARE COLLECTIBLE CHALKWARE BOOKENDS FOR YOUR COLLECTION ...

 

Coventry Ware was made in Barberton, Ohio, starting about 1932 by Carrie Daum. The first products were plaster, but by the 1940s, the business was making pottery figurines, flower holders and useful accessories for the table. Coventry was out of business by the 1960s.
