Steel is the material used. TRICO® IceTM has a specially designed, ruggedly constructed, synthetic-blended armor that is infinitely flexible and protects critical wiper components from ice and snow. That armor will easily prevent ice from forming, giving you the best visibility possible in freezing conditions. To properly wipe rain, snow, and sleet out of your line of sight, a wiper blade must conform to the windshield glass. When temperatures fall below freezing, ice can form inside the superstructure of the blade, effectively locking it in place. And, without full articulation, the blade cannot conform to the glass, resulting in streaks. Trico® IceTM blades are a one-piece design that does not rely on articulation because it is supple enough to conform. The tough armor prevents ice from forming, giving you the best visibility possible in subzero temperatures. Even when it isn't raining, wiper blades have a difficult day. They're sitting on a hot windshield, exposed to the sun's degrading UV rays. They must remove not only water, but also road grit, corrosive washer fluid, and salt water from road salt.
