Types of installation: 9mm hook, 9x4 hook, 3/16 hook "Side Lock, 7mm Bayonet, Side Pin (22mm), Side Pin (17mm), Pinch Tab, Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push Button (22mm), Push B (19mm). Steel is the material. TRICO® IceTM is equipped with a specially designed, ruggedly constructed, synthetic-blended armor that is infinitely flexible and protects critical wiper components from ice and snow. That armor will easily prevent ice from forming, ensuring you have the best visibility possible in freezing conditions.
To properly wipe rain, snow, and sleet out of your line of sight, a wiper blade must conform closely to the windshield glass. When temperatures fall below freezing, ice can form inside the superstructure of the blade, preventing it from rotating. Without full articulation, the blade cannot conform to the glass, resulting in streaks. Trico® IceTM blades are one-piece designs that do not require articulation because they are supple enough to conform. The tough armor prevents ice from forming, ensuring maximum visibility in subzero temperatures.
Even when it's not raining, wiper blades have a difficult day. They are sitting on a hot windshield, exposed to the sun's degrading UV radiation. They must not only remove water, but also road grit, corrosive washer fluid, and salt water from road salt. Although the natural rubber used to make blades provides the most flexible and resilient edge for wiping across glass, it eventually dries out and deteriorates. Heat can warp the rubber, and cold can make it brittle. Because modern windshields are curved, the blade arm must articulate with each swipe. A worn-out blade not only loses its sharp, rain-squeegeeing edge, but it also becomes hard and won't properly sweep the glass. Traditional blades have multiple joints between the superstructure and the wiping element that can corrode and freeze, limiting mobility and leaving streaks.
A blade replacement is the most certain cure, and it's also the simplest. Trico® blades are simple to install and fit your arms in the same way that OEM blades do.
