- Loose or worn chassis parts can cause premature tire wear.
- An exclusive cover plate prevents contaminants from leaking into the bearing surface.
- Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear
- Patent application is pending. Sunoloy coated metal bearings provide the smooth stud swing that technicians and drivers prefer.
- The patent-protected cover plate design allows for tighter tolerances than traditional designs, resulting in a more durable part.
- The powdered metal gusher bearing design allows grease to flow through the bearing to the stud, resulting in reduced friction and increased strength.
MOOG® Front Front Inner Tie Rod End (F26924). 1 pack contains 1 item. MOOG tie rod ends are designed to consistently produce the correct amount of preload for proper steering effort. They provide long-lasting dependability and superior performance. The parts are designed with problem-solving innovation and precision engineering to simplify installation and extend service life.
When the steering wheel is turned, tie rod ends connect the steering gear to the steering knuckles and move the wheels and tires. They usually fail due to normal wear and/or a lack of lubrication, but tie rod ends can also fail as a result of repeated driving over unimproved or pothole-infested roads. A worn tie-rod end is usually detectable during a front end inspection, but symptoms of a faulty tie rod end include noise, a loose steering feel, pulling to one side, and uneven tire wear.
MOOG replacement tie rod ends are ideal for replacing worn-out OEM components. They have a strong, all-metal construction that will not fail like some OE plastic tie rod ends. MOOG replacement tie rod ends are greasable, which reduces friction and allows dirt to be flushed out. MOOG tie rod ends have a patented cover plate design that captures the entire ball stud between the upper and lower bearings, removing any axial clearance or "lash." Over the life of the part, this consistently produces the correct amount of preload for proper steering effort. Finally, MOOG tie rod ends include easy-access wrench flats for quick and easy installation and adjustment.
