What a wonderful very sturdy antique piano vanity bench. It’s the perfect seat for many places in your home.  Mine sits in the bathroom to put shoes and sox on daily. The dark carved turned spindle wood legs compliments the lovely rich crushed velvet emerald green upholstered seat. This is a must have piece of furniture.

Finding beautiful things and giving them the homes that they truly deserve is my calling. I’m consistently inspired by the people I meet who have held onto antique vintage items – caring for them, loving them and moving them from place to place. It's humbling that people who have held onto things for much of their life and now have to let them go - gives me the opportunity to find these treasures a new forever home. Note: When a Shipping Company picks up, the cost to ship is not included in the price you pay on eBay. Shipping is a separate cost paid by You directly to the shipping company that is engaged to pick up and deliver your item(s).

Working full time and taking care of my family I am not able to find shippers for my buyers. I did come across a company that gives several quotes when going on their site, Shiply. Shiply network of shipping companies works with individuals to ship single pieces of furniture and more. Since they have a network of shippers You would get many quotes to pick from. I did once try to use Shiply for a buyer. When going into Shiply site I did not have enough info about my buyer because they did not purchase the furniture on eBay yet. I had to fill in my own info. Because I entered the request for shipping quotes I was told I am responsible to pay a deposit and take care of my buyers shipping payment. I would have contacted the buyer with the several quotes I got to see what quote they wanted if any. But I am not prepared to pay for shipping. Also, it would be an un-necessary inconvenience for my buyer and for me to figure out how I collect shipping costs from the buyer. There would be too many touches/and the time would be extended for the buyer to get the furniture.

So that brings me to the opinion that if the buyer is willing to contact Shiply they need to make the contact and work with them for payment. I then take things from there with the shipper to get the beautiful furniture to you!

-If you do not use or have a computer please consider ask someone that buys on line to help you.

Please give Shiply a try – go in and read all about how Shiply works and then decide if you want to proceed.

·      1) You would go on line and type in www.shiply.com/us in a search box. You could use google.com or any seach engine.

·      2) 1st box pick the type of item from dropdown –you would choose ‘Furniture & Generlal Items’

·      3) 2nd box you would put my pick up location info ‘Marietta PA’

·      4) 3rd box you would put your delivery info - (ex: Altanta GA) You would put the actual location you live in.

·    5) Click the 4th box – ‘Receive Quotes in Mintues’. That is it! It truly is simple! You then receive quotes from different shippers and choose a quote you agree with and go from there!

-There is a button that indicates an ‘eBay sale’, it wants a URL number. Antique furniture has no URL. You do not want to click the eBay box. It the box is checked it will not allow you to go forward without entering a URL. If you click the box, just click again to un-check the box.

-You may see a box to put in a picture. If you have the capability to save a picture of the eBay furniture and put it in the box you can do so. If not, that is ok, let the box blank.

-Shiply site indicates to wait 2 days to get all the quotes – but if you get what you feel is a good quote right away take it!

-When/if you find an acceptable quote, work w the shipper as they require. I did not accept a quote because I am not willing to pay for a buyers shipping - so I am not certain what they will ask. If you go into eBay site and look at my Furniture you want to buy -you may want to copy the measurements or write them down. If you have a printer attached to your computer, open a blank word doc and hilight the info you want to keep from the eBay descripton.  Choose copy & go to the blank word doc page - then choose past to put the copied info into the word doc page. You can then save it to your computer and print – or not save, just print it. Either written or printed info, you will have the details of what you want shipped to provide to the shipping company.

·      If you accept a quote, buy the Vanity Piano Bench on eBay and I will be notified and given access to you name and phone number.

·      I will call you and you can give me your shipper phone number or give the shipper my phone number (which I will give you when I call you after I am notified of the sale). I take things from there to have the bench picked up and on its way to you. 😊

Please let me know if you will look for a Shipper or if you are not going to do so.

NOTE: I would not recommend making the purchase on eBay 1st and then looking for a shipping quote… unless you are not concerned with the cost to ship.

When purchased on eBay & you pay the shippers fee /the shipping is set up, the exact delivery time depends on how far and how many stops there are between my location & yours, and how remote your area is. These factors may allow for a short delivery time or extend the delivery time. The shipper will communicate with you.

Note: I have no idea what it would cost to ship my furniture to you. I am asked this all the time but since the buyer works with the shipping company and pays them, I do not know what they pay for shipping. Shipping costs vary depending on where the furniture is being shipped and a fee structure is not the same for every shipper. There is no way to know the cost to ship without contacting a shipping company for a quote.

  

If you can pick-up great! I will work with you to pick up when it suits you!

 

If you are unable to pick up and don’t want to use Shiply and would like to research and find a furniture/antique item shipping company, I will work with any shipping company that you engage to bring this treasure to you!  

 

Once purchased, know that I will hold an item or items for as long as it takes for you to pick your item(s) up or have them shipped to you. If you plan a trip to my area in the future, feel free to buy and until you can pick up, your furniture will be safe and sound with me! I have done this many times with out of state buyers that have family in my area.

 

My antique and vintage furniture and collectables are purchased primarily from Estate Sales for craftsmanship, uniqueness, charm and character. Please recognize my furniture and miscellaneous items are pre-owned. I love to find wonderful unique pieces in great condition. You may find age-appropriate slight scratches, veneer blemishes, small areas of discolor, scuffs, minor imperfections and such that would be found on any true antique or vintage preowned piece. The life affirming happenings such as above show that the piece has usefulness and purpose - yet it does not take away from the one-of-a-kind beauty or your ability to love and cherish the item for its next lifetime.
