LokBuild provides the perfect print surface for 3D models to adhere and also allows for easy removal of completed objects. LokBuild is a strong sheet that adheres to the floor of 3D printers.
WHAT IS LOKBUILD?
LokBuild is the ultimate 3D printing surface for FFF / FDM 3D printers. It is a long lasting alternative to films and tapes.
LokBuild can be easily cut to fit the exact shape and size of your 3D printer's print surface. LokBuild is made from uniquely composed sheets that easily attach to your build plate with a heat resistant adhesive backing.
LokBuild replaces the need for blue adhesive tape or polyamide films such as Kapton tape. It is made of heat-resistant materials to provide a stable build bed for 3D printed models, while still allowing completed models to be removed easily.

HOW TO USE LOKBUILD
If you have ever used duct tape or films you will know that they are difficult to apply. LokBuild is more rigid and really easy to apply to your build plate. Furthermore, it is almost impossible for air bubbles to get trapped under the surface of the LokBuild.
INSTALLATION
- Clean the print bed making sure it is clean.
- Cut out LokBuild to match the shape and size of your print bed. This can easily be done with some general household scissors or a craft knife.
- Remove the adhesive backing and apply LokBuild to the build plate. Begin on one side and work towards the other side, smoothing LokBuild as you go.
- Adjust the height of the printer nozzle and check that the build plate is level.
HOW TO CLEAN LOKBUILD
LokBuild shouldn't need to be cleaned very often, but if you do, use alcohol wipes or similar (low% Isopropyl). Do not use acetone or anything with a high percentage of isopropyl, this will damage the surface.
CALIBRATION OF THE NOZZLE HEIGHT
LokBuild is much more flexible than some other products when setting the nozzle height and doesn't require such a high level of precision. However, there will be an optimal nozzle height for the chosen material and printer.
The key to good nozzle height is to experiment. We recommend starting farther from the table than with other surfaces and then slightly reducing the height of the nozzle until the print sticks to the LokBuild.
The vast number of printers and materials makes it impossible to give exact printing parameters, but a good starting point for the nozzle height would be between 0.20mm - 0.25mm.
ADVICE
When setting the height of the nozzle start farther from the table than with other surfaces such as tapes. LokBuild works best without squeezing the filament too much on the first layer.
REMOVAL OF COMPLETED PRINTS
In most cases, prints will peel off cleanly with minimal effort. However on some models with larger contact areas a spatula may be useful.
ADVICE
When printing with the heated bed above 100 ° C it is a good idea to let the print surface cool before removing the prints. This will increase the life of the LokBuild surface.
