Many times you've been wondering why AMG has made finishing of this gear knob in such a poor quality material...
I have faced same problem with my car.
After time taking research for decent OEM gear knob, looking at the pictures sent by potential sellers I gave up as many of you...

Here's the simple way to overcome this problem.

15 minutes DIY job.
1) Unpack envelope containing sticker

2) Disassemble the cap from your gear knob [I used the one from Avantgarde version]
3) Steal your wife's or girlfriend's hair dryer.
4) Place the sticker on cap as a first touch.
When you start warming it up vinyl will become very flexible. Keep Stretching it gently on each side around.
5) Once it covers all space nicely just cut it around leaving 10mm margin.
6) Make the half margin cut around as per picture and stick it to the back side.

Final product is pretty good looking !

Envelope contains Gear knob sticker + 2 MB service stickers.
