Argentovivo "PAILLER", Style W804C.01: an elegant and flowing rose print on ivory silk chiffon, long sleeved, tunic or Camicie. The silk chiffon is in ivory with large pink open roses with green leaves and stems, there are also rose buds in the pattern.
A wide collar tops this tunic with a double layer of the rose print silk chiffon, the collar finishes with points. The front V shaped neckline has a double selvege of the rose print silk, crossing over at the bottom and finishing in a square. From the shoulder seams there are two sheer bands of ivory floral lace running down each side, the bands closest to the V shaped opening are longer than the outer ones, and these come below the bottom of the V shape. Shapes are cut into the rose patterned silk and the lace is applique'd over the silk, sewn with fine ivory stitching.
The front and back both have single planels of the rose patterned silk and around the bottom is a 12 centimetre deep double band of the rose patterned silk which runs around the back and has an upward keyhole at the centre bottom of the back where the band continues to form long ties which can be tied in the keyhole and a large, luscious bow will hang from there over the back bottom.
The sleeves are long and loose and have a deep double tight cuff formed from the rose patterned silk, there are three tiny shell buttons with ivory horizontal stitched button holes. There are gathers around the top of the cuff where the loose sleeve needs to fit the tighter cuff.
The fabric of the "Pailler" tunic is 100%Silk. Argentovivo states that this should be hand washed in cool water; cool iron if necessary, no bleach or tumble drying. Keep away from fire. New and unused. Made in Italy. The retail price was £139.00.
