This is a hand-colored zoology or zoologie plate from Dictionary of Natural Sciences, showing examples of Polypiaires circa 1810.    Art by Pierre Jean Francois TURPIN, 1775-1840.   Description in French and/or Latin.   Size: 8" x 5".  Early, strong paper with moderate age-toning.  Expertly and accurately water colored.  Very Good condition.
