Harald Nielsen was the younger brother of Georg Jensen's third wife, Johanne. He wanted to be a painter, but was drawn into Georg Jensen's silversmith shop, where he started as an apprentice in 1909. From there he worked his way up to designer/director of the blacksmith apprentice school. In 1954 he became forge director and in 1958, he became artistic director, a position he held until 1962.
Nielsen's role as apprentice director was particularly important after Jensen's death in 1935, as Nielsen ensured the continued high quality of the company's design
Condition of the item.
If nothing is noted about the condition of the item we have for sale, then the item will be in good condition. For porcelain items it indicate, no chips, cracks, repairs or major usage signs. For silver and gold items it indicate, no dents, repairs, major scratches, engravings / monograms.
We do not like to use phrases as "super condition", "fantastic condition", but we believe in delivering a good product. So most of our Georg Jensen hollowware has been by our silversmithy for a touch up, so they are ready to use or present as a gift.

We do combine shipping and combined shipping will be calculated automatically at the time of check out. Our shipping rates are:
EU: $20 for the first item and $5 for each additional item
USA/Canada: $20 for first item and $5 for each additional item
ALL other countries $40 for the first item and $5 for each additional item
All other countries include South Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the rest of the world.
You are also welcome to pickup from one of our 2 retail shops in Copenhagen. If you wish to do so, it has to be done within 2 weeks of the purchase.
