MacBook Pro A1706 A1708 A1707 LCD Flexgate Repair. These models have a very known common issue where the lcd backlight flex cable after time it’ll start break. Due to the shortness in length and the constant opening of the MacBook it’ll get weak and tear.

Usually one of the symptoms is you’ll get a stage light effect as seen in listing picture. Or screen will work fine halfway open and then once fully opened your screen will go dark.

Could be repaired by replacing screen with new one, but really expensive and eventually would come to the same conclusion.

Best way to fix this is to physically tear the cable and to solder another portion of a spare cable to lengthen the cable to prevent it from being stressed when opening.
