We bought and framed this sheet of illuminated manuscript from an antiquarian bookseller about 40 years ago.  We cannot read it.  We bought it for its artistic value.  It has 4 pages, 2 on the front, and 2 on the back.  Framed between 2 pieces of non-glare glass by professional framers.  The text is outlined in gold, with a border of gold flourishes.  There are margin notes in what appear to me to be different hands. They are also accented in gold.  The language is Persian (Farsi).

The document itself is 14.5 x 12".   The frame is 20.5 x 18".  It is a 1" beveled gold wood frame.  The transparent border of glass in which the document is suspended is appx 1.5-2".

It is an attractive piece of art, and a testament to the care with which the authors or copyist treated the subject.
