Up for sale here is a shirt from Visvim. This one comes from their spring-summer 2016 collection, called the “sublig henley s/s q.p.”. What you essentially have here is a classic buttoned henley shirt with all of the quality and attention to detail you would expect from Visvim, along with a print unique to the season.
The main
draws here are the fabric and the details. The fabric is a
gray cotton, given a very nice texture. Visvim textiles are always custom, and
like pretty much everything Visvim does, some of the best quality out there. Details
include the “quality parts” print, modeled after vintage clothing prints but
incorporating designer Hiroki Nakamura and his wife Kelsi. Also features custom
white cat’s eye buttons (I believe these are done in vegetable ivory), fabric
reinforcement on the button placket, double sided tag on the bottom front of
the shirt, and additional size and materials tags on the interior.
Visvim definitely doesn’t mess around with materials
or quality, and this shirt does not disappoint. They have released a few
iterations of these shirts across different collections, but this is the only
iteration of the sublig henley with a graphic print. Retail was about $140 in
Japan and went for about double outside of Japan.
Size is
labeled a 2 and fit is like a standard small. I measure the chest at 19”,
shoulders at 16”, and
length at 25” from the base of the neck. The shirt comes in lightly used,
excellent shape, with no holes, tears, stains or really any signs of wear. Note
that the Visvim bag and tags are not included with this sale. Made in Japan.
Shipping via EMS from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
