QUALIFICATIONS

Devrek cane stalk has a rich variety and rich body ornamentation processing we split into two groups. These are, respectively, we have to define:

Handle: The four groups.

Group 1: fritz handle.. (Modern and Classical fritz .)

Group 2: Round (hook) handles (Installation and self-hook)

Group 3: ball handles (Round knobs and handles are made in a variety of short figure.)

Group 4: Figured handles. (Based on the master's skills and equipped with every kind of animal head handles figure. In addition, this figure is applied to the handle in the other group.)

Body: are processed in the two groups.

1st group of carved figures:

a - Checkered.

b - Shepherd notch.

c - Burmese(spiral).

d - Serpent.

e - various geometric shapes.

2nd group Embellishment (Inlay) shapes.

a - motifs and floral patterns.

b - wire and pearl inlay

MATERIAL SUPPLY

Devrek cane consists of three parts.

1 Hadnle Walnut, Hornbeam, Magin, boxwood, Beech, mulberry such as hardwood. Sometimes  silver , brass metal, buffalo horn used. This trees are available from local  forest.

2 Body in: Devrek is raw material cane cranberry tree. It grows in our local forest
