If you have a MacBook, MacBook Pro or recent iMac or Mac Mini then your computer is equipped with a mini TOSLink digital audio port which doubles as the headphone socket. This cable allows connection of your equipment to amplifiers and AV receivers with digital audio in. It eliminates the need for adapters that can become dislodged & lost when connecting your computer via a normal digital optical cable by having a standard connector at one end and the mini connector suitable for many Apple products, Minidisc and other portable devices at the other.
