The History of Rock magazine came out in 1982. It was a weekly part-work magazine published by Orbis which looked into the 'history' of rock, examining various artists, recording studios and background to the music. With good, detailed information backed up excellent photographs, these magazines are great fun!

In this issue:
  • The Roots of Soul – How the music of the Sixties was born in the Fifties
  • Brother Ray – The limitless genius of Ray Charles
  • Hot Gospel – Jackie Wilson’s voice smashed musical barriers
  • Twistin’ The Night Away – Sam Cooke: The coolest operator of them all
  • Free At Last – the turbulent career of Little Willie John
  • Music Unlimited – The explosion of black music across the USA
  • The Great Musicians - Hank Marvin

The magazine has around 24 pages.

Condition: The magazine is in very good condition but has been read and has some minor creasing, plus there’s a newsagent’s delivery address on the back cover on a small sticker. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns. Finally if you'd like to see further pictures or any questions, just ask!
