The History of Rock magazine came out in 1982. It was a weekly part-work magazine published by Orbis which looked into the 'history' of rock, examining various artists, recording studios and background to the music. With good, detailed information backed up excellent photographs, these magazines are great fun!

In this issue:
  • Black voices - from gospel singing to Berry’s boogie
  • Chuck Berry - Rocker Supreme
  • Doo-Wop - The sweetest harmonies came from the meanest streets
  • Clyde McPhatter - a searing voice that burned the soul of black America
  • Teenage Tragedy - Frankie Lymon - a world star at 13 and washed up by 20
  • Electrifying Music - After Leo Fender, the guitar would never be the same again

The magazine has around 20 pages.

Condition: The magazine is in very good condition but has been read and has some minor creasing and light reading wear - there’s also some minor annotation to the captions in green ink - visible in the pictures below. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns. Finally if you'd like to see further pictures or any questions, just ask!
