DIE LONDONER HAGGADA - EXCELLENT condition.

Publisher description - "The Ashkenazi Haggadah is a large illustrated manuscript for the celebration of the Passover Seder. Created in southern Germany in the middle of the fifteenth century, it reflects the style of northern Gothic in its pen flourished letters and blind-tooled gilding but also anticipates the Northern Renaissance in its stocky, whimsical figures inhabiting the margins. The decorative splendor is found in its initials and word panels, beautifully rendered with classicizing motifs. This Reproduction includes a 40 introduction followed by 100 p.: 98 of them color facs. 40 cm fabric, original linen tape in original linen slipcase. Gold-stamped title on the spine and cover, copy in good condition.
