Extraordinary piece with a small particle of gold on Quartz matrix. These pieces extracted from the reef 340 in a timely manner today are ultra rare and very difficult to find; Currently, due to the difficulty of the mine, one does not work.
This particular piece was extracted and saved in 2012 until today.
This important deposit does not give large gold pieces only micros in matrix. The Reef 340 was undoubtedly the most important mine for its wealth of gold in Rodalquilar. Rodalquilar is an epithermal gold-alunite deposit. The boundary area of the Lomilla caldera is an epithermal reservoir of high sulfurization, which is indicated by the abundant presence of alunite among others, causing a very acidic and oxidizing hydrothermal environment. In spite of not having had much economic importance in comparison with other deposits worldwide, it has been very studied and has served to understand this type of mineralization.
