Brand New. High Quality Copy ( Replica ) of  the Original Award/Decoration: Austrian Military Order of Maria Theresa.

It was established by the Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, Maria Theresa, in 1757 during the Seven Years War in honor of the victory over the Prussians at Kolin and was intended only to reward the military. The first awarded was the commander of the battle of Kolin, Field Marshal Leopold Joseph Daun. In 1918, after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the last emperor Charles I transferred the rights of awarding the Order to the Order Council. In 1931, the last award ceremony was held, after which the Council decided that no further awards would be made. The last cavalier of the order - the pilot of the First World Baron Gottfried von Banfield  - died in 1986.
The Order of Maria Theresa was awarded only to officers, but regardless of origin and nationality, for many years of military service, feats in battle and injuries received. The statute of the order does not allow foreign orders to be next to it when carrying its sign. According to the statute adopted in 1758, the order could not be awarded to foreigners, but this rule was never observed. So, for example, the Russian Emperor Alexander I, the German Emperor Wilhelm II, A.V. Suvorov, Prince Bagration and the Duke Wellington, as well as many other famous commanders were the knights of the order.
