The Maxi 24 EX provides the ideal environmental controls for maximum hatch rates of small to medium numbers of eggs. The high frequency turn facility makes these refined incubators ideal for parrots as well as all other eggs up to goose egg size.
Automatic Egg Turning - The Brinsea Maxi 24 EX holds 0-24 Chicken Eggs, 0-12 Duck Eggs, 0-40 Quail Eggs, 0-24 Pheasant Eggs and 0-8 Goose Eggs. Egg turning in this incubator is performed automatically and also comes with a countdown feature which will automatically stop the egg turning 3 days before your eggs are due to hatch. Another great feature of the Maxi 24 EX is that it comes with all egg disks, meaning that the maximum number of eggs from quail through to geese can be safely turned. Their ability to set the automatic turning interval as low as 5 minutes makes them ideal for parrot eggs too.
Temperature Control - To maximise hatch rates, a successful incubator must maintain even air temperature. Brinsea’s computer modelled temperature mapping technology means no other brand on the market comes close. The temperature can be set to 0.1°C which allows the user to keep an accurate control over their incubation.
Humidity Control - The Maxi II EX has Brinsea’s highly accurate, fully automatic humidity control built-in and provides extremely precise control of the incubation environment for the maximum possible hatch rates. The humidity is controlled via the simple digital display on top of the incubator, the user sets the desired level and the pump ensures that the set level is maintained within its tolerances.
Room Temperature Alarm - Although egg incubators control temperature, the very fine temperature stability needed for a successful hatch can be affected by large fluctuations in room temperatures, perhaps due to heating failure or weather extremes. Brinsea’s new room temperature alarm is now fitted to all digitally controlled models and warns the user if room temperatures vary too widely, so that action can be taken to protect the developing chicks.
Periodic Egg Cooling - Periodic egg cooling is a new feature of the Maxi II & Maxi 24 series of incubators. Once switched on, the incubator can stop heating for a set period of time that the user sets in order to imitate the natural nest.
Egg Quadrants - The Maxi 24 series uses an innovative system of egg disk quadrants. These quadrants simply clip together to allow eggs of one size to be incubated or eggs of different sizes to be incubated together. The Maxi 24 EX comes fully equipped with all disk quadrants as standard (Chicken, Duck, Quail/Pheasant and Goose) so you don’t have to purchase any additional disks.
Biomaster™ Anti-Microbial Plastic - The warm damp conditions inside egg incubators are ideal breeding grounds for bacteria which can infect developing chicks causing unexplained hatching failure. To help combat this problem Brinsea use Biomaster™ silver nano technology, developed for medical applications to safely destroy bacteria on contact.
